• Floors are scrubbed with scented phenol daily for a fresh and clean environment.
• All carpeted/non-carpeted areas are cleaned thoroughly.
• Chairs and rotating parts are sprayed with antiseptic solution and wiped with a soft cloth.
• After each patient, chairs are disinfected to prevent cross-infection.

Disposable Materials

Fresh gloves are used for every patient and disposed of in front of them. Additional disposable items include:

• Glasses
• Masks and doctor head caps
• Syringes and needles
• Suction tips
• Bibs
• Patient aprons and head caps

Instruments Sterilization

1. Cleaning: Instruments are washed with water or warm water to remove particles.
2. Ultrasonic Cleansor: All instruments, including burs, files, and scaler tips, are cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner for 180 seconds.
3. Disinfection: Instruments are wiped with spirit swabs and immersed in a cold sterilization solution for 45 minutes.
4. Inspection: Damaged instruments are identified.
5. Packaging: Instruments are packed in sterile pouches and vacuum-sealed to prevent contamination.
6. Sterilization: Instruments are autoclaved at 121°C, 15 psi pressure for 30-40 minutes.
7. Storage: Sterilized instruments are kept in a UV chamber until use.

Four-Tier Sterilization Protocol for Non-Disposable Instruments

• Tier 1: Instruments are scrubbed with spirit swabs.
• Tier 2: Immersed in 5% Korsolex sterilizing solution for 45 minutes.
• Tier 3: Cold sterile instruments are packed in individualized sterile packs.
• Tier 4: Sterilized instruments are stored in a UV chamber and opened in front of patients.
